Oreo

Oreo is a female shorthair, black and white. She appears to have been abandoned, or at least previously bonded to people. She showed up around September 1998, starved for affection and nearly starved for food as well. As it turns out, she was tending a litter of kittens. The more complete story is here.

She is affectionate, but sometimes skittish. While she likes attention, it sometimes seems to be awkward for her. Initially, she appeared to not know how to play, but she has learned a lot from one of her kittens. While she's still not a natural at it, she's trying to become a lap cat.

Oreo is a little overwhelmed with the other 11 cats in the house. She would probably do well in a less crowded multi-cat setting. She was supposed to be a foster (and was listed that way for a long time), but it doesn't seem likely that we'd find a good match for her.
