Randy

Born: 2001
TTVAR date: 26 September 2001

Randy was trapped, neutered and released back into the colony. A couple weeks later, Randy showed up again and was limping. He was cooperative enough to walk, er, limp into the trap a second time, and his adventure began.

It turns out that Randy had been limping for a while, that he was limping the first time that he was trapped. But since you don't stand too close when trapping, no one saw.

Randy, some time ago, had broken his upper right rear leg, and broken it pretty badly. It had healed -- badly -- already, leaving the leg an inch shorter than the one on the other side. So the vet had to break the bone and chip away the incorrect bone growth. Then he got a pin in his leg, holding together the various pieces while they heal correctly. (The pin will be removed in a few weeks.)

Randy wasn't exactly thrilled with being trapped, but he's come around a lot since then. The combination of a warm bed and fixing a leg that was probably in a lot of pain can do a lot to change an attitude. He is very orange at this point. His main bad habit at this point is clawlessly swatting at the hand that is trying to stop petting him.

Randy is the son of Tortie, and a very good friend and housemate of Michael.
